Mason Jar Fruit Cake Cookies

Makes 5 Dozen 

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, 11/2 cups sugar, 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 2 eggs, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1 8 oz. candied pineapple, 1 8oz. candied cherries, 1 8 oz. dates 2 cups pecans chopped.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. prepare fruit and nuts by quartering pineapples, cherries, nuts and dates about the same size. In a small bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda,and cinnamon and set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour mixture and incorporate ingredients. Stir in vanilla, fruits and nuts. Pour spoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheets and bake 12 minutes or until golden brown. After cooling on cookie sheet for minutes transfer to wire rack. Break in half and transfer them into the Southern Famous Mason Jar.
